Star Trek as an 8-bit video game

Animation re-creates 2009 film in classic 1980s pixel format

The folks over at CineFix (quickly becoming my favorite YouTube channel) have posted "Star Trek in 90 Seconds", an animation that shows what it might look like if the 2009 Star Trek movie (you know, the reboot from J.J. Abrams) was an 8-bit video game (think Contra and other space-fighter games from the 1980s).

Let's get a Kickstarter going to see if they could develop this into something playable!

I'm always amazed at the amount of time and creativity that goes into videos that merge the 8-bit world with popular culture from today. Kudos to these guys!
