Note to everybody: GPS systems are not infallible

Here's a hint to drivers everywhere: We know that your GPS system is very convenient and helps you get around in confusing areas that you're unfamiliar with and you don't need to keep unfolding a map and blah blah blah, but really, if the thing suggests that you drive onto railroad tracks, maybe you'd be better off, you know, not driving onto the railroad tracks. A hapless driver guided by a GPS unit ended up on Metro-North tracks in Westchester County and caused a collision with a commuter train. Nobody was hurt, but a Metro-North spokeswoman did get to play the classic "If the GPS told you to drive off a cliff, would you drive off a cliff?" gambit. read more...

    I wish there was way to report the error to someone and then it could be corrected. I have people tell me, I can find you I have a GPS and I just laugh because in the county that I live in even yahoo maps don't have all the correct roads.
