EU to keep MP3 players from getting too loud

The generation growing up with white earbuds in their ears from childhood might be in for a legacy of hearing loss down the road. That's why the European Commission is looking to reduce the default maximum volume of MP3 players sold in the EU. But those who just have to rock, and rock loud, will still be able to manually override the safety setting, and listen to music at their own risk.
