The history of Batman in video games (part 1)
Explore the early beginnings of the Dark Knight in PC and video games
As we get closer to Friday's release of the latest Batman movie, I'm expecting to see many more Batman-related videos. Here's another one: The folks at Machinima have posted an impressive video highlighting the history of Batman in video games. The three-part series of videos debuted today with part 1, looking at some very early computer games through the early '90s (with the release of movie-tie-in games from the Tim Burton movie era).
There was a feeling amongst a lot of gamers that most of the games around Batman were never really good until the release of current games like Batman: Arkham Asylum (and its awesome Arkham City sequel), as well as the Lego Batman series. I'm currently playing Batman Lego 2 and agree that it's a great game. I can't wait to see the other two parts to see all of the other attempts at making a good Batman video game.
