ASUS compares Windows 8 launch to moon landing
Video teaser goes a bit overboard, methinks
OK, I understand that as a hardware company coming out with Windows 8 tablets, you have to think of something to generate some kind of buzz for the product launch.
But creating a video teaser where you have images of the moon landing, the Space Shuttle landing, the Berlin Wall falling and the birth of a child as moments that compare to the announcement of a new tablet is taking things a bit too far. But judge for yourself - here's the teaser in question:
Maybe Apple could get away with something like this, but ASUS? Nah.
Of course, I could be wrong - maybe this is something better than the birth of a child. We'll all find out on Oct. 23.
