A Windows 8 interface we can all get behind
What if Windows 8 was an '80s interface?
The fabulous SquirrelMonkeyCom YouTube channel, which has produced videos like "If YouTube was invented in the '90s" or "If DrawSomething were an old PC game" has another new video uploaded.
In this case, we see what it would have looked like in the '80s if Microsoft had invented the Metro interface for DOS back in the day, rather than Windows. Pretty funny stuff, and with the grumbling about Windows 8 that's going around, I'm confident that we'd all love this alternate version.
Let's just forget about UI and bring back the command line interface for everything. Who's with me?
