The 12 techiest Super Bowl ads of all time
The Super Bowl is the time for football, and commercials – increasingly geeky ones.
It’s that time of the year again- welcome to Super Bowl XLVII!
Whether you have a rooting interest in America’s biggest game or not, the talk of the big game seems to be as much about the football as the ads each year. And through the years, there have been some very techie Super Bowl ads. From the iconic, to the cutting edge, here are our picks of 12 of the geekiest! Any list of techie Super Bowl ads has to have this iconic Apple “big brother” ad from Super Bowl XVII in 1984. Considered one of the most memorable Super Bowl ads of all time, Apple announced the release date for the Apple Macintosh, and the rest has been computer history. (Apple even created a spoof of the commercial for its sales team that featured Steve Jobs playing FDR.)

Sprint Crime deterrent
This phone can do a lot of things - even be a crime deterrent!
Xerox Brother Dominic
Along with the Apple “1984” commercial, this is seen as another iconic tech commercial from back in the day – 1976 to be exact.
EDS Cat herder
Because true techies love cats, this one has to be in here.
