Here's how you can install the AMD Catalyst display driver in Linux Mint 14.
1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fglrx-installer
3. Type in the following commands then hit Enter to remove the xorg-edgers ppa:
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
