Name That Noise: Crocodile Rock edition
Can you identify today's mystery sound?
Name That Noise is now on a weekly schedule - every Tuesday we'll bring you a new mystery sound from the world of technology, geek culture (video games, science fiction) or some other random noise from around the world.
We return with this classic sound from the world of video games - if you spent a lot of time at home during the '80s, we're sure that you can remember this sound. The actual sound in the video is about 3 seconds long.

ANSWER: We're heading to the jungle for this one - this particular sound was the "Tarzan yell" made by Pitfall Harry in the Activision game "Pitfall" for the Atari 2600 game system. It was the easiest way to get across the alligators (instead of having to jump on their heads, which was a bit trickier).
Again, let us know (email@example.com) if you have any other suggestions.
