Microsoft trade exchange readied

February 5, 2001 —

Microsoft Corp. will announce this week that it will create and host a private trade exchange intended for companies that want to develop embedded solutions using either Win CE or embedded NT operating systems. The site will allow companies to post RFPs (request for proposals) at a single location, manage the bidding process, offer online chatting, messaging, and team collaboration, as well as track and manage the ongoing development of a project once it is under way.
