HP offers NetServer reliability package

Hewlett-Packard Co. has signed an OEM service and support agreement with
Marathon Technologies Corp. to offer a continuous-availability hardware and software
suite for HP NetServers.

The HP NetServer Assured Availability offering allows HP NetServers to continue
computing operations through component failures, hot swaps and "blue screens." New
components are automatically assimilated into the HP NetServer array, restoring full
redundancy without human intervention. NetServer Assured Availability will be released
next month and priced from $50,000 to $100,000.
