On June 12, 2002, VeriSign released version 1.2 of their Trust Services
Integration Kit (TSIK). The VeriSign TSIK allows Java developers to
integrate digital trust services into their Java applications.
VeriSign's TSIK supports several well-know standards including XKMS (XML
Key Management Service), XML Encryption, and XML Signature. In addition,
it provides an interface to the VeriSign Payment Service via XMLPay, and
an API for certificate chain and key verification.
The TSIK API is divided into four functional groups. These groups
encompass trust, messaging, utilities, and services. The services API
allows applications to communicate directly with VeriSign's digital
trust service.
