Report: Offshore IT outsourcing helps economy

A new report shows a positive side of offshoring. Sponsored by the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and prepared by the Global Insight research firm, the report finds that 2.3 percent of IT software and services spending by U.S. companies in 2003 was on offshoring, and savings reached $6.7 billion.(Free registration required)
