Apparent Networks makes network and application performance more apparent
Denise Dubie writes about AppCritical 3.5 from Apparent Networks: "AppCritical 3.5 provides a view of distributed networks, including the segments owned by service providers, to show network managers the root of performance problems, whether it be the network or the application."
Apparent Networks is putting a major focus on VoIP and video readiness and is significantly scaling up its support for large enterprise and managed service providers in the latest version of its AppCritical product, announced today.
Its new Synthetic Traffic Analysis feature enables users to create traffic flows that mirror the unique properties of specific applications. In VoIP deployments for example, customers can accurately project the impact of adding any number of new VoIP phones to their network.
Also, the monitoring capacity of AppCritical’s analysis engine, the Network Intelligence System (NIS), has been increased by 50 percent. This higher capacity enables large enterprises and managed service providers to deploy AppCritical more broadly and efficiently.
