Somewhat predictably, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals feels that Punxsutawney Phil ought to be set free rather than trotted out for our amusement every February 2. But their solution on a replacement is rather novel: they believe the shadow-spotting beast should be replaced by some sort of robot. Read more
