A new Challenger, Gray and Christmas, Inc. survey reveals that cost-containment remains the primary objective for many companies. Overall, 86 percent of respondents surveyed in May said that their companies have been forced to initiate cost-cutting measures.

A new survey by the Philadelphia IT outsourcing firm Yoh finds that U.S. tech wages remained fairly steady during the first quarter of this year, indicating some level of stability in hiring patterns even as the global economic recession continues.

I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
