Science Thursday: The Momentum Misconception

Why the momentum equation you learned in school is wrong

We have the latest video from Henry Reich and his MinutePhysics YouTube channel, in which he shows us why a popular physics equation is technically incorrect.

Watch the video to learn why momentum is not mass times velocity, especially if your velocity approaches the speed of light (which happens all the time, right?).

After watching that, I'm going to have to go back and check my high school physics tests to complain about the checkmarks I received.
