New computer chip can test DNA in one hour

Goal is to provide personalized drug treatments for patients

In another "the future is now" moment, check out this video news report from DigInfo News that highlights a DNA testing chip that can deliver results in one hour, down from three to four days currently.

The system, developed by Panasonic and Belgium-based research group IMEC, "is expected to enable personalized, tailor-made therapy to become widespread," DigInfo News reports.
