Science! Debunking faster-than-light theories

Why the speed of light is the ultimate speed limit

By

Derek Muller has a new video up on his Veritasium YouTube channel, discussing a bunch of theories proposed by readers/viewers about how we could get something to move faster than the speed of light.

In the video, Muller explains why these theories wouldn't work in real life. Keep trying, Internet!

My favorite part is the discussion of the "laser light on the Moon" bit, which got me thinking - if we ever do colonize the moon, there's going to be a lot of people back here on Earth trying to flash them with their laser pointers. That'll get annoying quickly, won't it?
