Historians have long known that Nicholas Copernicus, the astronomer who developed the theory that the sun, not the Earth, was the center of the solar system, was buried in the Roman Catholic cathedral in Frombork, Poland -- but nobody was quite sure where. Now some clever DNA detective work has confirmed that some bones found under one of the cathedral's side altars were in fact those of the famous scientist.
