Tumblr patches hole after malicious site attack

Tumblr called out by malicious hacking group GNAA for not properly securing its site

This is not the first time GNAA has been in the press for online tomfoolery. Most recently, when the Northeast U.S. was hit by Hurricane Sandy, members of the group used Twitter to fool several media outlets into reporting that looting was taking place in areas affected by the storm.

Founded in 2007, Tumblr now hosts 83.2 million blogs, with a staff of 125 employees.
