The biggest tech news story this week, of course, was Apple’s long awaited announcement of the iPhone 5c and 5s. The latter, as you probably know, uses Apple’s new Touch ID fingerprint scanning functionality to replace a passcode for locking your device. As my ITworld colleague Dan Tynan wrote, Apple’s implementation should be the impetus for fingerprint scanning to now go mainstream, which will mean both good things and bad. As you can see here, I can think of at least one good (or bad, depending on your POV) use of it.
Enjoy your weekend and free access to the fridge while you can!
