A federal judge dismissed a Pennsylvania woman’s lawsuit, claiming her attorney ignored both a dismissal motion and an order to respond to it. The attorney is appealing, saying the judge’s emails got caught in his spam folder. He further blamed his son, who handles electronic filings for him, for not noticing, and then claimed that the senior paralegal who supervises his son was on vacation and he couldn’t reach his “technology consultant”.
Gee, do you really need a technology consultant to show you how to check your spam folder? I don’t know what email program he uses, but I’ve used Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail and they all show the number of unread messages waiting in the junk folder. Where Google Chrome security fails: the password I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
