December 04, 2009, 7:25 PM — WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BACKUP YOUR PC? It depends on how often you use your PC, according to security site SpamLaws.com. Tip: Occasional computer users -- those who spend five hours a week or less at their PC -- should back up their data at least once a week. However, more frequent users who spend more than ten hours a week at their PC should perform daily backups.
Ultimately, the frequency with which you back up your data depends on what you consider to be acceptable loss. "The more important [your data] is to you, the more important backing it up becomes," says SpamLaws.com.
