December 05, 2008, 4:11 PM — I told you about my appearance at the first ITEC show of the season, so let me balance it out telling you about the last show this year. I'll be giving the keynote speech next Wednesday morning, December 10th, at the ITEC Portland conference. The pre-speech music starts at 8:45 AM, and the fun starts at 9:15 AM. Come see the (free) speech at the (free) conference. Admission? Free!
Later, at 1:45 PM, I'll be doing my "Explaining Geeks to Humans and the Inverse" comedy presentation. I go on right after the free lunch. Yes, a free lunch, but you have to stay and listen to me. Well, I guess you could grab the lunch and run away, but then I'd make fun of you. But when you stay, all I have to make fun of are idiot vice presidents. Luckily, there seems to be a never-ending supply of those. Well, luckily for those of us writing jokes about them, anyway.
Come to beautiful downtown Portland to the Oregon Convention Center, say hello, learn some stuff, see some interesting new vendors, grab a free lunch, then laugh for a while. Sounds like a great way to spend the day.
