November 17, 2011, 10:44 AM — Every time I think that robotics are used for the betterment of mankind, I run into a video where Japanese scientists are doing something that's just a little bit creepy. Like this video, where scientists are adding robotics to animal costumes to provide eye and mouth movements.
The idea is that these costumes can help provide more interaction between the wearer and possible bed-ridden patients, or that the facial muscle movement technology can be used in things like full facial motorcycle helmets. But we all know who the first customers will be.
