January 31, 2012, 10:37 PM — Everybody has their own favorite browser(s). Here are five of mine for Linux. I've included links to the site of each browser, but you can probably download these from your Linux distro's software management tool. That's the easiest and fastest way to get them.
5. Rekonq
Rekonq is a browser used for the KDE desktop environment. It's based on WebKit. If you're a fan of the KDE desktop then chances are you'll really like Rekonq.
4. Epiphany
Just as Rekonq is designed for the KDE desktop, Epiphany is made for the GNOME desktop. Epiphany provides a simple user interface that should please almost any GNOME user.
3. Opera
Opera is a browser that doesn't get as much press as some of its competitors. That's a shame because it's a great browser and has a lot to offer any Linux user.
2. Firefox
Firefox is one of the best known and most popular browsers around. There are an enormous number of useful extensions you can add to give it even more features and functionality.
1. Chromium
As much as I like Firefox and the other browsers, I have to give the crown to Chromium. It's extremely fast and stable. Google has done a terrific job in making sure that Chromium is one of the fastest browsers around.
