1. Open a terminal window and type in the following commands, then hit enter after each command.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
KDE 4.8 upgrades plasma, various applications and other KDE features. So it's a good idea to upgrade to 4.8 so you can enjoy its benefits.
