1. Open a terminal window and type in the following commands, then hit enter after each command.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:merlwiz79/cinnamon-ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cinnamon cinnamon-session cinnamon-settings
Cinnamon brings back all the great functionality of GNOME 2 to make your Ubuntu or Linux Mint system much more usable and comfortable.
