February 20, 2012, 3:26 PM — Here's a quick and easy way to close Mac applications that have stopped responding.
1. Use this keyboard command:
Command-Option-Escape
2. This will open a menu with a list of open applications.
3. Select the problem application(s) from the menu and then click the Force Quit button.
Your problem application(s) will be closed and you can restart them if you want.
