CCleaner lets you clear the junk off your Mac's hard disk

February 24, 2012, 1:08 PM — CCleaner is free software that lets you reclaim disk space. Here's how to download it for your Mac.

1. You can download CCleaner in two ways, from the Mac app store or from the Piriform site.

2. After installing CCleaner, open the application.

3. Click the Analyze button to begin finding files that are taking up space on your Mac.

4. After the analysis is complete, click the Clean button to remove the unwanted files.

5. You can also click the Tools icon to uninstall applications, repair permissions or erase free space. The Options icon lets you delete cookies from your Mac.

CCleaner is a powerful and helpful tool to get your Mac's hard disk back into shape. Best of all, it's totally free!
