June 28, 2012, 1:43 PM — Here's how you can save your session in Linux Mint 13 MATE. This will let you restore everything you were doing when you logged out or shut down your computer.
1. Hit Alt+F2.
2. Type mateconf-editor and the MATE config window will hopen.
3. Go to apps then mate-session then options.
4. Check the auto_save_session box on the right side of the menu.
Now your session will be restored the next time you login to your Linux Mint 13 MATE desktop.
