June 28, 2012, 1:49 PM — Here's how you can save your session in Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon. This will let you restore everything you were doing when you logged out or shut down your computer.
1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type in the following command then hit Enter.
sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
3. Hit Alt+F2.
4. Type dconf-editor to open the config window.
5. In the config menu, go to org then gnome then gnome-session.
6. Check the auto-save-session on the right side of the config window.
Now your session will be restored when you login to your Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon desktop.
