How to stop saving screenshots in the default desktop folder

By , ITworld |  Software, linux mint default screenshots folder, linux mint screenshots

Here's how you can easily change the default folder for screenshots in Linux Mint.

1. Hit Alt+F2.

2. Type mateconf-editor.

3. The Mate Configuration window will open.

4. Go to apps then mate-screenshot.

5. Edit the line last_save_directory to your preferred folder for screenshots.

Now Linux Mint will default to your new folder when you go to save a screenshot, instead of the desktop.
