Here's how you can quickly change the default system text editor in Ubuntu or Linux Mint.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in this command and then hit Enter:

sudo update-alternatives --config editor

3. You'll see a list of editors appear in the terminal window.

4. Select the number of the editor you want to use, then hit Enter.
