September 19, 2012, 12:55 AM — Here's how you can open a helpful spelling and grammar tool when typing in OS X on your Mac.
1. Open the application you want to use and begin typing.
2. Use this keyboard command to open the Spelling and Grammar tool:
Command+Shift+:
3. You can click the Check Grammar box in the bottom right corner to have it check your grammar, as well as spelling.
4. You can also click the Automatic By Language drop down menu at the bottom to change the language.
