Puppets go high tech with pressure sensitive track pad

By , IDG News Service |  Software, robotics, user interface

A marionette controlled by software and a pressure sensitive forcepad is one of the many projects on show at the User Interface Software and Technology (UIST) conference this week in Cambridge MA.

The forcepad is part of a competition at UIST to see which research group could come up with the best uses of it. The hardware was announced about a month ago by Synpatics and will be in Ultrabooks first starting in 2013.
