Wine and Windows RT: What's the point?

Today in Open Source: Windows RT is a waste of time for developers. Plus: Check out Linux 3.11 features, and a new Linux Mint 15 KDE user is born.

I can't say I'm really surprised, Linux Mint 15 is one of the best desktop distros available, whether you use KDE or some other desktop environment.

Hey, how can you go wrong with a Steampunk desktop theme, right. It oozes sheer coolness as soon as you see it.

I generally recommend Linux Mint for users new to Linux. It's easy to install and offers a lot of useful tools, and a great software manager. Check it out if you're in the market for a desktop distro. Susan liked it, and I bet you will too.

For the last couple of days I've been getting input/output errors while running my everyday install and eventually things would just halt. I decided I better get what I wanted off that drive because it was probably failing. This seemed like a good time to do more than boot Linux Mint 15 KDE (rc). It was time for a full install.
