Turn on parental restrictions on the Apple TV

How to restrict content and protect kids on the Apple TV

By , ITworld |  Software, Apple

Here's how you can turn on parental restrictions on the Apple TV. This might help prevent kids from seeing inappropriate content when you aren't around to supervise their use of the Apple TV device.

1. Click the Settings icon on the Apple TV menu.

2. Go to General.

3. Click on Restrictions.

4. Click on Turn On Restrictions.

5. Enter a passcode.

6. Select your restrictions options.

The Apple TV, thanks to iTunes, Netflix, YouTube, and other services, has an amazing amount of content for viewers of all ages. If you kids in your home, however, you may not want them watching the more adult, more R-rated or NC17 content. Luckily, Apple lets you enable parental restrictions.
