StarOffice dumped from free Google Pack
Google Pack, Google's free software package, no longer features Sun's StarOffice office suite.
Until recently, the software bundle had included the Microsoft Office rival alongside other application such as Google Earth, Symantec's Norton Security Scan and Skype. However now Google, which has its own free office suite Google Docs and Spreadsheets, has removed the software.
StarOffice can be download from Sun's website for £44 (US$88), which means those seeking a free office suite must look to sister application OpenOffice.
