Instead, it's important to reduce the size of your pictures so they're easier to share. I've explained how to resize photos for e-mail and the Web in the past--it's pretty easy to do with any photo editing program or even just with Windows.

Meanwhile, a French court slapped down Google for what it saw as a copyright grab in a book-scanning case.
