Sprint focuses on wireless M2M with new business unit

Sprint Nextel Inc. has been in the wireless M2M (machine-to-machine) business for a decade, but this week announced a greater focus on the exploding market area by creating a new Emerging Solutions business unit to speed up delivery of the technology to businesses and consumers.

Sprint provides wireless links for smart Ford trucks, vans

Sprint Nextel is providing wireless connections to Ford trucks and vans that are equipped with in-dashboard PCs. The specialized 2009 Ford F-Series trucks and E-Series vans are now being shipped to dealerships, according to Sprint.

Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.
