I'm on several media lists as an expert source for technology quotes, especially for small business technology. One came through today that caught my eye as an interesting topic, but one that small and medium businesses should ignore. The question was about great new innovations in the pipeline.
Special SpiderOak Online Backup Sale
A tech buddy has been telling me good things about SpiderOak online backup and synchronization services. I have them on my list to talk to soon, but I just received notice of a special sale they're running tomorrow, May 20th from 10am-4pm EST: half off. Yes, an “Economic Recovery Special” is a cliché, but also serious savings. You will be hard pressed to find 100GBs of online storage for $5 per month, which is half their already low normal rate of $10 per month. Use the promo code “recovery” for the deal.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
