<title>Mac tips: Uninstall Safari 4, replace with Safari 3</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/69939/mac-tips-uninstall-safari-4-replace-safari-3</link>
<description>Over the course of time I collect questions that merit no more than a couple of lines in response, which makes for an awfully puny column. But gang them together and you&#039;ve got something. Something like this:

 <title>Security Will Always Be a Headache</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/small-business/69125/security-will-always-be-headache</link>
<description>I wrote last month about Security Risks on Your Macintosh. I&#039;m going to reference another report that explains how Apple&#039;s approach to security leaves quite a bit to be desired. Before that, however, I want to say this isn&#039;t potshots at Apple or Microsoft or anyone. Well, maybe we should take shots at the criminals creating malware and stealing information. But until computers and their users are 100 percent secure, there will be ways for criminals to make money. That&#039;s why security will always be a headache.

<title>Macs rarely belong in the enterprise</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/62928/macs-rarely-belong-enterprise</link>
<description>For years, Apple fans have told us that Macs are easier to use, result in less tech support, are more stable and have fewer virus issues than their Windows counterparts. As such, some people believe, Macs should be the logical first choice when it comes to an enterprise deployment, especially since they can easily run Windows software. I&#039;m here to commit a cardinal sin by dispelling this idea.

 <title>The Mac at 25: Storage</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/61538/mac-25-storage</link>
<description>In the beginning--that is, 1984--a Mac could store 400K on a painfully slow 3.5-inch floppy disk.

 <title>Happy 25th birthday to Macintosh</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/61357/happy-25th-birthday-macintosh</link>
<description>Twenty-five years ago, a much-younger Steve Jobs introduced the Macintosh to 3000 attendees at the Flint Center at De Anza College in Cupertino. It was to be the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command line interface.

<description>The folks from EMC and Iomega--which EMC bought in April 2008--were united at this Macworld Expo, showing off a number of new storage and backup products. The most significant news was the announcement of a public beta program for EMC Retrospect 8.0 for Macintosh.
