    Security firm Sophos recently discovered a new clickjacking scam on Facebook that spreads via the social network's "share" feature and could be costing you $5 a week. The new malware is similar to a so-called "likejacking" worm discovered last May. But instead of exploiting Facebook's "Like" button, the new scam uses the "Share" feature that posts content to your profile wall where your friends are encouraged to click on it.

    Just when I think e-mail scams can't get any more brazen, or e-mail readers any more careless, I get surprised again. “Job offer at your location” arrived today, combining two amazing scams in one spam. At least they're saving bandwidth by combining scams. No doubt they consider themselves “green” spammers.

The messages were ads for American Idol, and urged customers to watch the season premiere. The backlash has been considerable as angry users accused the company of spamming them. Many used Twitter to express their annoyance.

    This story is near and dear to me. One day I went into a frenzy, because a good friend sent me an email that she was stranded in Ghana and needed me to send her some money. She never mentioned she was going to Ghana. I was taken off guard at first, because I had a couple of other friends who had gone to Ghana to work, about the same time.

    Federal prosecutors have charged 11 people with stealing 41 million credit cards, obtained by wardriving. The criminals drove around and scanned wireless networks for vulnerabilities, then installed sniffers that stole credit card information. Was this kind of attack inevitable? I believe it was. And we have more coming.
