With its new Unity interface, Ubuntu 11.04 doesn't look or act like any other desktop Linux you've ever seen. It's not just a new take on the desktop, it's a new take on the interface for all devices.

    Review: Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud

    Posted May 13, 2010 - 4:07 pm

If you're building an internal or private cloud, Canonical wants you to use Ubuntu Linux 10.04 as your operating system of choice. To that end, the newest version of Ubuntu includes a feature set called Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud. In keeping with its open source pedigree, Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud is integrated with the open source Eucalyptus http://www.networkworld.com/slideshows/2009/110909-open-source-companies... private cloud platform, making it possible to create a private cloud with much less configuration than installing Linux first, then Eucalyptus.

    Posted June 1, 2009 - 4:09 pm

Ubuntu Server is a fast, free, no-frills Linux distribution that fills a niche between utilitarian Debian and the GUI-driven and, some would argue, over-featured Novell SUSE and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
