    Buffalo's newest external desktop hard drive, the DriveStation DDR HD-GDU3, offers the large storage capacity of a hard drive with the speed similar to a solid-state drive (SSD). Buffalo does this by pairing a 2TB hard drive with a 1GB DDR3 RAM cache--Buffalo says that the cache makes file transfer speeds "up to 2.3 [times] faster."
