<title>Microsoft Silverlight vs Google Wave: Why Karma Matters</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/saas/68574/microsoft-silverlight-vs-google-wave-why-karma-matters</link>
<description>Inevitable comparisons are made between the hugely enthusiastic developer response (including from us at Zoho) to Google Wave yesterday with the relatively tepid response to Microsoft&#039;s new search engine Bing.

 <title>Why Major League Baseball dumped Microsoft&#039;s Silverlight</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/internet/66006/why-major-league-baseball-dumped-microsofts-silverlight</link>
<description>This week&#039;s start of the 2009 baseball season will leave Microsoft out of the game: MLB.com management decided to abandon its year-long use of Microsoft Silverlight and instead stream games through Adobe&#039;s Flash player, the technology used by YouTube.

<title>Creating vertical marquee in MS Silverlight</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/development/65729/craeting-vertical-marquee-ms-silverlight</link>
<description>In IE8, it seems that the Marquee tag isn&#039;t supported anymore. Need for a Marquee replacement got me into my first Silverlight endeavour. Basically I&#039;ve used the DoubleAnimation control to achieve this by altering the&quot; To&quot;, &quot; From&quot; and &quot;Duration&quot; property. So, with little modification this can be made to rotate horizontally as well.
