 <title>Dell/EqualLogic PS4000: iSCSI for the common manager</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/79785/dellequallogic-ps4000-iscsi-common-manager</link>
<description>Dell acquired EqualLogic in 2007, adding a strong iSCSI player to their existing Fibre Channel storage options. EqualLogic offers some very usable iSCSI systems at good prices, from a base of around $10,000, to $17,000 as tested, to well over $100,000.

<title>Synology offers iSCSI on the cheap</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/79788/synology-offers-iscsi-cheap</link>
<description>While the Promise/DataCore combination offers an excellent feature set at a relatively low price, how about an 8TB RAID5 iSCSI system for $2,500? Synology makes the DS509+, a storage device intended as an SMB NAS system, but it supports iSCSI as well, and costs about $870 at Amazon.com.

 <link>http://www.itworld.com/storage/68848/integrated-nas-ipsan</link>
<description>Unified storage refers to a single storage system that supports both file and block level access. In other words, the storage subsystem can support NAS (file-based access) and iSCSI (block-based access) storage protocols simultaneously.

 <link>http://www.itworld.com/storage/67407/sun-storage-system-delivers-high-performance</link>
<description>Sun&#039;s latest addition to its high-end enterprise storage repertoire -- the iSCSI-based Sun Storage 7410 Unified Storage System -- is certainly a high-performance offering, but we found some usability and some integration issues.
