This Suneel working as Sr.Quality Assurance(Manual tester), i would like to change my job profile to DBA side. I heard that current hot technology is "Hadoop" and while google it got the information like it is mostly related to programmers, but i didn't have any programming knowledge.

Hi I have recently been assigned to setup and manage a data analyst/mining department. I need help as to how to go about this, what tools to integrate, first steps to take, etc. I am assuming Hadoop and R would be best tools but how steep are these learning curves? Is it easy to find potential employees who have experience with these tools?
